What: Interview our freshmen students, and then provide an external assessment about their performance. Your valuable feedback will help them to identify their strengths and areas for growth with life skills and abilities such as social interaction, communication, and valuing in their decision making abilities.
Who: Professionals and retirees who have experience with interviewing. Volunteers will perform "mock interviews" with several students as if the students are potential employees.
Why: To help prepare our students for the real world. These interviews, and their interactions with you, provide them with their first professional interview experience.

Your Gift contributes to Student Success!
In 2007 Carmen opened on the south side of Milwaukee with the vision to create a FREE college and career preparatory experience that challenged, motivated, and supported students who had few such options. Our guiding principle was that with a strong curriculum, dedicated teachers, and a school culture that insists on excellence, ANY child from ANY neighborhood in Milwaukee can succeed academically, exhibit excellent character, and go on to achieve success through college and a meaningful career.
Thanks to the visionaries, trusting parents, dedicated teachers, and courageous teenagers who joined us in helping to transform a dream into a reality, the Carmen Schools network has flourished over the last decade. Today, with three high schools and two middle school now serving 1,700 students and growing to nearly 2,300 students in the next few years, Carmen Schools of Science and Technology has shown what is possible when a community believes that all students deserve the right to a free, excellent college and career preparatory education in an environment where they are challenged and believed in.
Please consider making a gift to support Carmen's Internship and Apprenticeship Program or the Carmen School's Expansion Initiative.
